DENPASAR, BALI<\/strong> \u2013 A serious traffic accident occurred on the heavily traversed Ngurah Rai Bypass Road, specifically at the Tirtanadi Traffic Light (TL) intersection in South Denpasar, on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM local time. The collision involved a large concrete mixer truck with license plate B 9200 KIO and a Honda Scoopy motorcycle, license DK 3462 AAC, ridden by two young women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary victim, Tania Asya Sarassati (18) from Samarinda, sustained serious injuries to her thigh. She was riding as a passenger, while the driver of the scooter, Isabel (18), a Denpasar resident, suffered minor abrasions on her arm. The truck driver, Swarno (54) from Jember, was unharmed in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preliminary police reports indicate the accident happened as both vehicles were traveling west from the Tirtanadi intersection. As the traffic light turned green, the Honda Scoopy rider attempted to make a turn to the south. It is suspected that the concrete mixer truck behind her failed to brake in time, colliding with the scooter from the rear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Denpasar Police Chief, AKP Agus Adi Apriyoga, S.I.K., M.H., confirmed that officers were dispatched immediately upon receiving the report. “Our personnel proceeded directly to the scene, coordinated with the Traffic Management Center (TMC), and ensured the victims received medical treatment at Bali Mandara Hospital,” he stated. Police have conducted a full documentation of the site and managed traffic flow in the aftermath of the collision.<\/p>\n\n\n
