Data recorded up to October 2025 shows the airport operating at full capacity, serving 20.32 million passengers<\/strong> while opening 14 new routes<\/strong> that connect Bali to a wider global network than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On any given day, the airport handles an average of 67,000 passengers<\/strong>, supported by 50 airlines<\/strong> flying across 57 routes<\/strong>, linking Bali to 36 domestic<\/strong> and 21 international destinations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strongest momentum comes from international arrivals. The airport recorded 12.8 million international passengers<\/strong>, a 9% increase<\/strong> compared to last year. Much of this growth comes from new strategic routes, including Perth, Guangzhou, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Saigon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four destinations\u2014Sichuan, Cheongju, Mumbai, and Newcastle\u2014launched flights to Bali for the first time. This expansion signals a major shift toward more diversified tourism markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cargo movement matched this upward trend. The airport processed 88 million kilograms<\/strong> of freight, a 9.5% year-on-year increase<\/strong>. International cargo routes\u2014especially Doha, Hong Kong and Sydney\u2014accounted for 79%<\/strong> of all goods transported. According to him, the spike in international travel and the shift toward markets like India, China, Korea and secondary Australian cities represent long-awaited diversification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor years, Bali relied heavily on a few markets. Now we\u2019re seeing healthy de-risking,\u201d he explained. \u201cSaudia\u2019s arrival opens deeper Middle Eastern access, while new Chinese and Korean routes reduce old dependencies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also highlighted the importance of rising cargo volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA 9.5% increase in international cargo is a quiet economic revolution. This means Balinese products\u2014coffee, crafts, wellness goods\u2014can reach the world faster and more reliably. It supports an economy that\u2019s more resilient and not solely tied to seasonal tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, he offered a realistic reminder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis growth must be matched with stronger infrastructure\u2014roads, waste management, environmental protection. The future has to prioritise value over volume.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
