Heavy traffic snarled access roads around Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on Saturday (20\/12\/2025) after a large tree collapsed near a gas station on the outbound route toward the Horse Statue area. The congestion stretched deep into the airport complex, leaving vehicles at a standstill for an extended period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Witnesses described an unusual scene as drivers stepped out of their cars, some smoking by the roadside while others walked ahead to find out what had caused the severe gridlock. Traffic movement was reported to be extremely slow, with long queues forming both inside and outside the airport area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial information indicates that the fallen tree struck two cars and completely blocked the roadway. One of the vehicles is confirmed to have no occupants at the time of the incident. For the second car, authorities have not yet confirmed whether anyone was inside when the tree fell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emergency response teams and traffic officers are working at the scene to clear the obstruction and manage traffic flow. However, delays are expected to continue until the road is fully reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourists, expatriates, and airport users are strongly advised to seek alternative routes and avoid roads leading to and from Ngurah Rai Airport for the time being.
