LABUAN BAJO, Indonesia<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 On the eleventh day of a painstaking search in Komodo National Park, rescue teams recovered a fragment of the sunken\u00a0KM Putri Sakinah<\/a><\/em>\u2014a bathroom door\u2014yet found no sign of the two boys who remain missing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discovery of the debris offered a tangible, if small, piece of the wreckage but underscored the frustrating elusiveness of the primary objective: finding the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) task force, utilizing sonar and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), conducted extensive sweeps around the islands near the Padar Strait sink site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The search concluded at 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday without locating the two sons of Valencia CF coach Fernando Mart\u00edn Carreras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bathroom door, believed to be from the ill-fated\u00a0pinisi<\/em>\u00a0schooner, was retrieved by a port authority vessel at approximately 11:18 a.m. at coordinates roughly 0.12 nautical miles from the incident’s epicenter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This find, while grimly confirming the vessel’s breakup, did little to advance the core mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tragedy’s timeline remains agonizingly clear. The vessel sank on December 26, 2025. The coach\u2019s 12-year-old daughter was recovered on December 29. The coach himself was found and identified on January 4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the father’s body now flown to Bali for repatriation, the search has narrowed with heartbreaking focus to his two sons, aged 9 and 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As operations resume for a twelfth day, the discovery of a single door amidst the vast, current-swept seascape highlights the immense challenge facing rescuers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
