BALI<\/strong> – In a stark reminder that paradise is not a haven for crime, Bali’s authorities have intercepted a significant narcotics shipment, arresting a 26-year-old Turkish national, a disc jockey identified by his initials H.S., at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The suspect was found in possession of 1.2 kilograms of high-purity cocaine concealed within his backpack, with an estimated street value soaring to a staggering Rp 9.1 billion (approximately USD 600,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrest, a result of sharp vigilance by Ngurah Rai Customs officials, occurred on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. During a routine baggage inspection around 5:00 PM local time, officers detected anomalies in the lining of the traveler’s backpack. Notably, the DJ claimed he had not yet received any payment for the high-risk mission, operating on the promise of future compensation. “He has not received any payment up to now, as he believed it would be given upon delivery,” Radiant explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intended recipient, “M,” remains at large. Police confirm they are actively pursuing this individual, who is believed to still be within Bali. “From our examination, he was only to deliver it to M. We are still investigating M’s whereabouts in the Bali region,” Radiant added, indicating an ongoing and expanding investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
