The announcement comes amid concerns that flexible work arrangements for government employees could slow visa processing, passport services, or airport operations in one of Southeast Asia\u2019s busiest tourism hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials say those concerns are unfounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe ensure that the quality of immigration services for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals will not decline,\u201d said Bugie Kurniawan<\/strong>, head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services Continue as Normal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the WFA policy, which applies during March 16\u201317 and March 25\u201327<\/strong>, immigration staff are allowed to work remotely. But authorities emphasize that the policy is designed to maintain continuity\u2014not reduce operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is to guarantee that arrivals and departures run smoothly,\u201d Kurniawan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security and Oversight Unchanged<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Officials also stressed that the shift in work arrangements does not affect enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monitoring of foreign nationals continues across key areas\u2014including Kuta, North Kuta, and South Kuta\u2014while law enforcement functions remain fully active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe emphasize that security and law enforcement functions will not be relaxed,\u201d Kurniawan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
