DENPASAR, Bali<\/strong> \u2014 Bali\u2019s governor has dismissed concerns following a travel warning issued by South Korea, insisting the island remains safe\u2014even as foreign governments flag rising crime risks in key tourist areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAman (Safe), it\u2019s already being handled by the police,\u201d Governor Wayan Koster said briefly on April 7, referring to the Bali Police (Polda Bali).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He declined to elaborate further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, Koster suggested the situation would resolve itself over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJust leave it. When conditions improve, the travel warning will go away on its own,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Warning From Abroad<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The statement comes days after South Korea\u2019s embassy issued an official advisory urging its citizens to exercise increased caution while visiting Bali.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The notice, published on April 1 under the title \u201cSecurity Warning on the Prevention of Serious Crimes,\u201d<\/em> cited a recent rise in serious crimes targeting foreign nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advisory specifically named several of Bali\u2019s most popular tourist areas: Jimbaran, Seminyak, and Canggu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe ask citizens visiting Bali to pay attention to their personal safety,\u201d the embassy stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warning was also reported by Korean media, including Chosun Ilbo<\/em>, amplifying its reach beyond diplomatic channels.<\/p>\n\n\n

The governor acknowledged a slight decline in arrivals from South Korea but described it as minimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot significant,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
