An elderly Australian man identified by his initials PA, 80, was found dead in a villa in the Sanur area of Denpasar on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The foreign national was found lying lifeless in the villa’s bathroom by his wife, identified as SNS, 68.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“He is believed to have died due to illness and age-related factors,” said South Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Iptu Azel Arisandi in a written statement on Friday, July 17, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to the incident, SNS had left the villa for a walk at 9:30am, leaving her husband alone at the property. She returned to the villa at approximately 11:30am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shortly after returning, SNS noticed the villa was quiet and did not see her husband. She called out his name but received no response. She then went to check on PA and found him deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Upon entering, the witness saw the victim lying on his back on the floor in front of the bathroom, wearing only underwear, and believed to have already passed away,” Azel said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A friend of SNS also came to the villa at around 1:00pm to help check on the victim and report the incident to police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the crime scene investigation, PA was found with his right arm folded across his chest and his left arm extended at his side. The victim was not wearing a shirt and had only underwear that had slipped down. “There were no signs of violence on the victim’s body,” Azel added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police also found several medications belonging to PA, including Melobic 7.5, Prebalin, Comfarol Forte, Telmisartan Sandoz, Antenex Diazepam, and Alodom Nitrazepam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PA’s body was subsequently evacuated by the Denpasar Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) team to Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
