How to Extend Your Bali Visa Without Getting Scammed

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

How to Extend Your Bali Visa – Let’s cut through the BS – extending your Bali visa shouldn’t feel like negotiating with a Kuta timeshare salesman. Yet here we are, with fresh-off-the-plane digital nomads getting rinsed for IDR 2 million for what should be a IDR 500k process.

Here’s your no-nonsense survival guide to visa extensions – so you can spend that extra cash on massages, not scams.

Know Your Visa Type (Or Get Screwed) – How to Extend Your Bali Visa

  • VOA (Visa on Arrival): 30 days + 1 extension (total 60 days)
  • B211A (Social Visa): 60 days + 2 extensions (total 180 days)
  • Visa-Free Entry: Can’t extend – GTFO before day 30

Pro Tip: Your immigration officer isn’t your friend. That “special deal” they offered at the airport? Probably a scam.

3 Ways to Extend (Without Losing Your Shirt)

1. DIY at Immigration (For Masochists)

  • Cost: IDR 500k (official fee)
  • Time Sink: 3 trips + 2 weeks of your life
  • Survival Kit:
✓ Printouts of everything (Bali printers will betray you)
✓ Modest clothes (no “Bali Belly” tank tops)
    ✓ Patience of a saint

“Spent 4 hours at Denpasar immigration just to learn they ‘ran out of forms.’ Classic.”

Semi-Legit Agent (Recommended)

  • Cost: IDR 800k-1.2m
  • Look For:
✓ Physical office (not a WhatsApp number)
✓ Google reviews older than 6 months
    ✓ No pressure tactics (“URGENT!1!”)

Red Flag Alert: Any agent who says “Just give me passport, no need come to immigration” = ILLEGAL

3. Online Extension (e-VOA Only)

  • Portal: molina.imigrasi.go.id
  • Catch: Only works once per e-VOA

Scams That’ll Make You Poor

How to Extend Your Bali Visa
How to Extend Your Bali Visa
  • “Special Fast Track”: Paying double for normal service
  • Passport Hostage: Agents “losing” your passport until you pay more
  • Fake Overstay Threats: “Pay now or deportation!” (Actual fine: IDR 1M/day)

Real Talk: Would a Balinese pay this? No? Then you’re getting tourist-taxed.

When Shit Goes Wrong – How to Extend Your Bali Visa

  • Overstayed? Pay at immigration before leaving (airport fines are higher)
  • Agent ghosted you? Report to Ditjen Imigrasi immediately
  • Passport MIA? Contact your embassy +62 361 233 605 (Bali Immigration HQ)

Why This Matters

Bali’s visa system isn’t designed for convenience – it’s designed to confuse and extract. But with these tips:

  • Avoid funding some agent’s new scooter
  • Keep your passport (and sanity) intact
  • Actually enjoy your stay

Final Warning How to Extend Your Bali Visa : That “chill” agent offering extensions from a Canggu cafe? He’s about as official as a “organic magic mushroom” smoothie.

Need vetted agents? DM us – we’ll hook you up with contacts who won’t sell your passport on Facebook Marketplace.

“Overstayed once. The only thing more painful than the fine was my ego explaining it to customs.”
– Canadian who learned the hard way

  • “Aku kepikiran jadi LC…”
mereka hanya sedang mencoba bertahan hidup. Dan di tengah situasi seperti itu, respons yang paling dibutuhkan bukan selalu penghakiman.
Kadang…
orang hanya ingin didengar tanpa direndahkan.
#Viral #LC #Kehidupan #RealitaHidup #AnakMuda #Ekonomi #ViralIndonesia #CeritaHidup #MentalHealth #Relationship #KehidupanKeras #Empati #BaliViralReporter #ViralBali #Indonesia #StoryOfTheDay #HumanStory #FYPIndonesia #TikTokIndonesia #FacebookViral #DramaKehidupan #KontenViral #Motivasi #RefleksiHidup #SocialIssue #LifeStory #ViralVideo #BaliToday #TrendingIndonesia
  • Nyesek banget. 🤢 #EsKepalCicak #ViralJijik #SafetyFirst #JajanBijak #balireporter
