DENPASAR, Bali — Denpasar may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking about steak in Bali, but the island’s capital has quietly built a solid reputation among meat lovers.

Away from the beach clubs and tourist hotspots, the city offers everything from affordable local-style steaks to premium imported cuts. For expatriates, long-term visitors, and locals alike, Denpasar has become a reliable go-to for a good steak without the Seminyak price tag.

Here are five steak spots in Denpasar that stand out—not just for quality, but for value, consistency, and character.

Beyond Semana Santa: The Beach That Locals Don’t Want You to Miss in Larantuka

1. Steak Time — Reliable Quality Without the Price Tag

Tucked in the Renon area, Steak Time is one of those places people keep coming back to. It’s not fancy, but it delivers exactly what it promises: solid steak at accessible prices.

The menu is surprisingly extensive, with multiple beef and chicken options and a range of sauces that let you customize your plate. Portions are generous, making it a popular choice for casual lunches or easy dinners.

What makes it stand out: Consistent quality and value for money
What to order: Tenderloin AUS 200GR for imported beef, or the crispy chicken steak for a lighter option

  • 📍 Jalan Tantular No. 17, Renon (Google Maps)
  • 🕒 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • 💰 Rp 40,000 – Rp 140,000

2. Bogaard Steak & Bistro — Consistency Is the Strength

Bogaard has built its reputation on something simple but rare: consistency.

Regulars come here because they know exactly what they’ll get—a well-seasoned steak, friendly service, and a menu that balances classic cuts with more premium options.

The restaurant divides its offerings into Classic and Prime selections, giving diners flexibility depending on budget.

What makes it stand out: Reliable taste and service
What to order: Classic Sirloin for everyday dining, or Prime Rib Eye for a richer cut

  • 📍 Jalan Tukad Banyumas No. 3 (Google Maps)
  • 🕒 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • 💰 Rp 80,000 – Rp 385,000

3. Terrazza Steak House — For Those Who Take Steak Seriously

If you’re particular about how your steak is cooked, Terrazza is one of the best options in Denpasar.

Here, you’re in control—from choosing the cut (tenderloin, rib eye, striploin) to deciding how it’s cooked and served. The option to have your steak on a sizzling hot plate adds an extra layer of experience.

The space is also larger than most, making it suitable for families or group dinners.

What makes it stand out: Customization and premium feel
What to order: Rib eye on a sizzling plate for maximum flavor

  • 📍 Jalan Gatot Subroto Barat 336E-F (Google Maps)
  • 🕒 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • 💰 Rp 90,000+

4. Citarasa Steak Kaki Lima 2.0 — Local Twist, Big Flavor

This is where things get interesting.

Citarasa Steak Kaki Lima blends the concept of street food with steakhouse flavors, creating something uniquely Indonesian. The setting is simple, but the flavors are bold.

It’s the kind of place where you don’t come for ambiance—you come for taste.

What makes it stand out: Local flavor with steakhouse variety
What to order: Picanha or Rib Eye, and don’t miss the Rahang Tuna with sambal

  • 📍 Jalan Teuku Umar Barat (Google Maps)
  • 🕒 5:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 💰 Rp 30,000 – Rp 222,000

5. PeTo Steakhouse — Casual, Family-Friendly, and Versatile

PeTo Steakhouse offers a more relaxed, self-service concept that works well for groups or families.

The menu is wide-ranging, from classic beef cuts to lamb, duck, and even seafood. It’s not the most specialized steakhouse, but that’s exactly its strength—it caters to everyone.

What makes it stand out: Variety and family-friendly atmosphere
What to order: T-bone steak or lamb steak for something different

  • 📍 Jalan Tukad Balian, Sidakarya (Google Maps)
  • 🕒 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 💰 Rp 50,000+

Denpasar’s Steak Scene, Underrated but Worth Exploring

Denpasar might not have ocean views or luxury dining vibes, but it offers something just as valuable: dependable food at reasonable prices.

For many residents and expats, the city has become a practical alternative to Bali’s more commercial dining areas—especially when it comes to steak.

Whether you’re craving a premium cut or just a satisfying meal after a long day, these five spots show that you don’t need to leave Denpasar to find a good steak.

Note: Prices and opening hours may change. It’s best to check directly before visiting.

  • “Aku kepikiran jadi LC…”
mereka hanya sedang mencoba bertahan hidup.
Kadang…
orang hanya ingin didengar tanpa direndahkan.
#Viral #LC #Kehidupan #RealitaHidup #AnakMuda #Ekonomi #ViralIndonesia #CeritaHidup #MentalHealth #Relationship #KehidupanKeras #Empati #BaliViralReporter #ViralBali #Indonesia #StoryOfTheDay #HumanStory #FYPIndonesia #TikTokIndonesia #FacebookViral #DramaKehidupan #KontenViral #Motivasi #RefleksiHidup #SocialIssue #LifeStory #ViralVideo #BaliToday #TrendingIndonesia
  • Nyesek banget. 🤢 #EsKepalCicak #ViralJijik #SafetyFirst #JajanBijak #balireporter
#Bali #BaliNews #KutaUtara #Badung #SungaiBali #SempadanSungai #VillaBali #PembangunanBali #LingkunganBali #SaveBali #KrisisLingkungan #BaliUpdate #BeritaBali #BaliHariIni #IndonesiaNews #ViralNews #UrbanDevelopment #Overdevelopment #ProtectBali #heybali
