Two men have been arrested for stealing a motorbike from the parking area of Niti Mandala Renon Field in Denpasar, a case that unraveled into confessions of at least two other thefts across the city after the suspects briefly resisted arrest.

Denpasar Police confirmed the arrests of the two suspects, identified by their initials KM, 19, and FBO, 21, in connection with the theft that occurred at Renon on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Resistance During the Arrest

Denpasar Police public relations chief Iptu I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya said both suspects briefly resisted when officers moved to apprehend them, though police were able to bring the situation under control. KM and FBO were subsequently taken to East Denpasar Police Sector for further processing.

Man Caught Passing Nearly 100 Counterfeit Bills at Bali Market, Caught on Viral Video

During questioning, both young men admitted to stealing motorbikes not only at Renon, but also in the areas of Jalan Raya Sesetan and Jalan Pulau Batanta, Denpasar.

How the Renon Theft Happened

In the Renon incident, the suspects took a Honda Beat from a parking area on Jalan Dr. Kusuma Atmaja. According to police, they were able to take the vehicle easily because its handlebar had been left unlocked while the owner exercised at the field.

“The suspects easily took the victim’s motorbike at the scene because it was left unlocked while he went into the field to exercise,” Adi said on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The Victim’s Account

The theft occurred after the victim, identified by his initial J, entered Renon Field to exercise at approximately 7pm. He said that after completing two laps around the field, he could still see his motorbike parked in its original spot.

However, when he finished exercising at around 8pm, J was shocked to discover his motorbike was gone. “The victim was shocked when he didn’t see his motorbike at the location, and searched the surrounding area, but couldn’t find it,” Adi said.

Arrest and Evidence Recovery

Following the report, police launched an investigation that led them to the two suspects’ whereabouts in the Benoa area of Denpasar, where they were apprehended along with evidence connected to the theft.

Charges

The suspects face charges under Article 477 of the Criminal Code concerning Aggravated Theft, carrying a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison.

Why This Matters for Anyone Exercising in Denpasar

Renon Field is one of Denpasar’s most popular public spaces for evening exercise, drawing large numbers of joggers, walkers, and cyclists, locals and expats alike, every night. This case is a clear reminder that the same routine so many rely on for daily exercise also creates a predictable window of opportunity for opportunistic thieves: a motorbike left unattended, and unlocked, for even a single hour.

As with similar cases reported elsewhere in Bali, the simplest and most effective prevention step remains engaging the handlebar lock every time, regardless of how short the errand, workout, or stop may seem.

orang hanya ingin didengar tanpa direndahkan.
#Viral #LC #Kehidupan #RealitaHidup #AnakMuda #Ekonomi #ViralIndonesia #CeritaHidup #MentalHealth #Relationship #KehidupanKeras #Empati #BaliViralReporter #ViralBali #Indonesia #StoryOfTheDay #HumanStory #FYPIndonesia #TikTokIndonesia #FacebookViral #DramaKehidupan #KontenViral #Motivasi #RefleksiHidup #SocialIssue #LifeStory #ViralVideo #BaliToday #TrendingIndonesia
  • Nyesek banget. 🤢 #EsKepalCicak #ViralJijik #SafetyFirst #JajanBijak #balireporter
